In order to complete a submission or revision, create or modify a profile, or login to the Economics Bulletin site,
your browser must allow session cookies. Session cookies are not stored on your computer permanently.
They are only stored temporarily while you are connected to the Economics Bulletin site in order to
to verify your identity when you are logged in or completing a submission.
In order to enable session cookies in your browser, you may do the following:
- In Internet Explorer 4 or 5, go to the "Tools" menu, select
"Internet Options", and then select the "Security" tab. If the "Security level for this zone"
is listed as "High", you may either:
(a) Use the slider to change the security level setting to "Medium" or lower, or
(b) Click the "Custom Level" button. Scroll down to the "Cookies" section, find the option
for "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)", and select "Enable".
If the security level is already set to "Medium" or lower, or if the level is
"Custom", follow the directions under (b) above.
- In Internet Explorer 6, go to the "Tools" menu, select
"Internet Options", and then select the "Privacy" tab. If the privacy setting is "Block All Cookies",
you may either:
(a) Use the slider to change the privacy setting to "High" or lower, or
(b) Click the "Advanced" button. Check the "Override automatic cookie handling" box, and then
check the "Always allow session cookies" box. (You may elect to block First-party and/or Third-party
cookies if you like. Only session cookies are needed to use the Economics Bulletin site).
If the privacy setting is already set to "High" or lower, or if the setting is
"Custom", follow the directions under (b) above.
- In Netscape 4, go to the "Edit" menu and select
"Preferences". Under "Category" on the left, select "Advanced". Then under "Cookies"
on the right, make sure that one of the first two options is selected (in other words,
make sure "Disable Cookies" is not selected).
- In Netscape 6, go to the "Edit" menu and select
"Preferences". Expand the "Privacy and Security" menu on the left, and then select "Cookies".
Under the "Cookies Acceptance Policy" on the right, make sure that either "Enable cookies for the
originating web site only" or "Enable all cookies" is selected (in other words, make sure that "Disabled
cookies" is not selected).
- In Netscape 7, go to the "Edit" menu and select
"Preferences". Expand the "Privacy & Security" menu on the left, and then select "Cookies".
Under "Cookies" on the right, make sure that "Disable cookies" is not selected. Any of the
three "Enable" options for cookies is acceptable. If "Enable cookies based on privacy settings
is selected", click the "View" button. If the "Level of Privacy" is set to "Custom", make sure that
one of "Accept", "Flag", or "Session" is selected under "First Party Cookies" for "Site does not
collect personally identifiable information without your explicit consent" (in other words, make sure
"Reject" is not selected).
