Biographical Sketch :
 
Ping Wang received a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Rochester in 1987, being affiliated with Penn State and Vanderbilt and currently Seigle Family Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. His major research areas include money and macroeconomics, growth and development and spatial economics. He has published over 60 articles in refereed journals, including 17 in AER, REStud, JET, JME, IER and REStat. He has supervised or co-supervised 18 Ph.D. students, visited Rochester, Washington-Seattle, Purdue, Tilberg, and Dallas Fed, and has been a frequent visiting scholar at Academia Sinica, Atlanta Fed, IMF Institute, Kobe and Kyoto. He served as the President of Chinese Economic Association in North America, and is presently the VP for Planning and Development of East Asian Institute, an NBER research associate and on several editorial and advisory boards.
