Gorton is the Liem Sioe Liong/First Pacific Professor of Finance at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Professor of Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, and Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Dr. Gorton is a member of the American Finance Association and the Econometric Society. He is past editor of the Review of Financial Studies and is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Financial Services Research, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Journal of Financial Markets, the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, Advances in International Banking and Finance, and the Economic Policy Review (of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York).
